Course Description

**Used by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and Law Enforcement and Corrections agencies worldwide!**
 
This three‐day (24 hour) Instructor certification program: is designed for agency instructors to train and certify
departmental personnel as basic and advanced users in a complete self defense program using the Rapid Rotation Baton.
The course includes defense concepts against a variety of assaults and attacks using the RRB in the close quarters, at a distance,
standing and on the ground.Students should be prepared to have their ideas and notions of impact weapons challenged
by the intensive course content.
Upon successful completion, Instructors will be able to certify others to carry and deploy the RRB!
Certification is valid for three years,

• History of Batons in law enforcement and correction
• Effectiveness / safety / liability factors
• Criteria for selection of Impact Weapons
• Operational guidelines / practical exercises
• Drawing and Deploying the RRB
• Blocking and Striking Techniques with the RRB
• Restraints with the RRB
• Officer survival tactics
• Criminal and civil liabilities
• How to evaluate students
• Instructor Development
• How to conduct safe scenarios
• Sample policy and procedures
• Integrated use of force options
• Deployment methods
• Power Development

Equipment Needs

Clothing and footwear for defensive tactics instruction. Duty belt with holster, training weapons, inert aerosols impact weapons and handcuffs.
